VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR APPOINTMENTS
TO TOWNSHIP BOARDS,
COMMITTEES, COUNCILS AND COMMISSIONS
Since the early days of the formation of the Township, Hillside
residents have always volunteered for our community. Each year, residents offer their time,
energy, knowledge and talent to our municipality by serving on one of the
Township’s boards, commissions, councils or committees. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-9.1, any
appointee to an authority, board or commission shall be sworn in by the entity’s
chairperson, or by another person authorized by law to administer oaths. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-9.2, the
Township Clerk will compile and maintain, on an ongoing basis, a directory of
local authorities, boards, commissions and committees. Among other things, a list of currently
appointed members, along with their terms of office.
If you want to be considered for volunteer service on one of the public bodies listed below, you must file the attached one-page Citizen Leadership Form with the Township Clerk.
